TRAVEL TIPS
These were too good not to share!
Did you know that when travelling to Canberra, home schooling families may be eligible for a government rebate to cover some of the costs associated with your travels?
The Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) program is an Australian Government initiative that provides financial assistance to support students’ on-site learning about national democratic, historical, and cultural institutions in Canberra. All PACER-approved institutions provide educational programs that directly align to the Australian Curriculum. Learn more about the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) program here.

There are also loads of free, quality learning resources available online through sites such as Parliament House, the National Gallery of Australia, and the High Court of Australia.
The Western Australian Government has also announced an incentive available to tourists travelling to Coral Bay, Carnarvon and Exmouth to support business recovery following the impacts of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle.

The package will help tourism operators stabilise, recover, and reconnect with visitors across affected regions. Register to receive your Ningaloo Adventure Voucher and enjoy 50% off tours and experiences in Exmouth, Coral Bay and Carnarvon in 2026, subject to availability and terms and conditions. You can find more information about this incentive here.
If you’re not already aware, Let’s Go Kids publishes books readily available at most visitor information centres. They are a handy guide for state and territory-based travel as they contain tips, discount codes, vouchers and more. We’ve enjoyed many “buy one, get one free” vouchers during our travels as a family. They are also available online - check them out here.
If you find one or more of these useful, or if you have any other traveller tips, I would love to hear from you.
Happy travels!
